Fallout
Some fallout of the DDOS Mozilla set themselves up, what with their setting a world record for Firefox 3 downloads in 24 hours:

Mozilla has had some pretty horrible infrastructure problems today — but you can’t blame ‘em. Right now, about 5000 people are downloading Firefox 3 per *minute*.

LOL yeah when I first heard about this all I could think of was “Wow that takes balls! Nothing like inviting the internet to come and beat on you in a “legal” faction”. However if they planned it all right it would have been a great time to stress test some of their infrastructure (what is actually theirs and not just mirror pointing). Yes it was a big PR stunt but isn’t the entire book of Guinness WW’s? I even read a post from someone saying “Wow what a achievement to go against yourself for a record”. As far as I know there has been no official deceleration from anyone for such a record and they all have to start some where. Even if you don’t like FF you still have to respect the guts and balls to attempt such a feet.
