I’ve released fedora-business-cards, the Fedora business card generator (aptly named, eh?) as version 0.2.
Tarball – Specfile and SRPM – git repository
This is a prerelease version; I don’t make any guarantees of its usability, functionality, or awesomeness. There are two known bugs: I haven’t written any new documentation, and letters with accent marks (such as “Máirín Duffy”) don’t show up properly in the MgOpen Moderna font. Both are being worked on.
I don’t plan to put it in Fedora until I get a tangible release, possibly with a graphical frontend (not highly necessary, though). Running
fedora-business-cards --help
after installing should help you get started; the CLI interface is pretty straightforward.
And yeah, you need a FAS account to create these.

Alright, hopefully the last one of these posts I have to make. Long discussions with Mo and other people, and I think we’ve hit on a good design. I’ll be pushing it at the marketing meeting for approval of people.

Notable changes: it now uses the 4 foundations instead of “infinity freedom voice”, which we are pushing out, hopefully in time for F10.
You can see all of the designs, but we’re most likely to go with #9f (this one).

Máirín and I were talking about using the Fedora business card design, and how it should theoretically match whatever visual identity we do have right now, instead of creating a new one.
She and I agreed on this design.

What are everybody’s thoughts on this?

Here goes the next design I came up with after all the wonderful feedback I got.
List of changes:
Once again: all feedback is required! Please comment :)

I decided that we need a new business card design. Our current one just isn’t cutting it. Plus, I don’t think you need to be an ambassador to be allowed to have one.
I’ve printed a sheet off and I’ve taken pictures. Here they are:
I’m going to fix the templates slightly and make them available soon, along with a Python script that’ll make it even easier to make your own.
Edit: There was a concern that allowing anyone to have a Fedora business card could cause trademark dilution. I didn’t make it clear enough that by “anyone”, I meant anyone who has cla_done in FAS.
Thanks again for all the comments. :)
